Pumpkin Pie Smoothie (healthified!)

Even though Halloween candy got the best of me, I’m determined to enjoy the holiday season without consuming 4 pounds of sugar. I have a major sweet tooth so it won’t be easy. Luckily, I have a few yummy recipes that hit the spot without any guilt or sugar crashes. Here’s one of them! Oh and just so you know, this recipe was taste-tested by my kids and dad…They don’t lie when it comes to food reviews.

Blend the follow ingredients:

1 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk

1/2 cup pumpkin puree (I prefer Libby’s)

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 drops *doTERRA cinnamon essential oil (careful…the drops come out fast! 2 drops is plenty!)

2 mini scoops 365 stevia (or other stevia brand or natural sweetener)

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1/2 to 1 banana (frozen for creamier consistency)

1 handful pecans (soak and rinse for health benefits and a creamier consistency)

1 cup ice

Add vanilla protein powder and blend for a few seconds so the shake doesn’t become frothy. I prefer doTERRA’s vanilla Trim Shake.

*The cinnamon oil is the secret ingredient for this shake. I’ve tried making it with and without and it makes a huge difference!
